Doula Services
I support families birthing in a hospital, birth center, or at home. As a doula, I do not provide clinical services or make medical judgements.
These are the services I do provide:
- unlimited access to my lending library with books and videos to prepare for birth and throughout the postpartum period
- three private consultations:
- brief demonstration and discussion of how birth works,
- to assistance in sorting out and communicating birth preferences,
- comfort measures, relaxation and birth positions
- OR Personalized focus on the preparation of your choice during those three meetings
- information and resources for informed decision-making and support no matter what those decisions are
- meeting with a backup doula in the prenatal period if desired
- accompanying you to a prenatal appointment if possible
- 24 hour/day availability by phone or text for concerns
- my support during labor from the time you desire it until at least two hours after birth
- labor support can include physical assistance, comforting touch, acupressure points, rebozo, suggestions from my research and experience, emotional support, and encouragement and affirmations
- infant feeding support and resources for newborn and postpartum concerns
- postpartum phone call within 48 hours and visit scheduled within the first week
